The Story
One sunny Friday morning, two friends named Alex and Ben decided to go for a walk. They wanted to visit the big forest that was near their town. They packed a small bag with two bottles of water and some red apples for a snack.
The forest was very peaceful and quiet. The only sound was the birds singing in the tall trees. The path was soft with leaves, so it was easy to walk on. As they walked, they saw a small, brown squirrel with a big tail run up a tree.
After about twenty minutes, they came to a small river. The water was so clear they could see the small stones at the bottom. They found a large, flat rock next to the water and sat down to eat their apples. They felt very happy and calm in the beautiful place.
Suddenly, Alex saw a flash of bright red color behind a green bush. He walked closer to look. It was a beautiful red flower, all alone. They had never seen one like it before in the forest. Ben took a picture of the flower with his phone.
The sun started to go down, and they knew it was getting late. They decided it was time to walk back home. The walk in the forest was a wonderful adventure. They were tired, but they had a great time together. They planned to come back again next month.
